This Google discussion group has been set up for support and discussion of Leap while it is in beta. Please feel free to join and offer your ideas and solutions.
Love it or hate it, we want to hear. Send us ideas for how to improve Leap too. And, of course, if you’re experiencing any problems with Leap then we want to make sure we get them fixed.
I own Yep already, can I get a discount on Leap?
If you already own and have installed Yep, then run Leap and press the Buy Now button and Leap will generate a discount coupon for you to use when purchasing.
What is QuickImage?
On Leopard (OS X 10.5), Leap uses Apple's QuickLook to generate thumbnails and other images of documents. There is no equivalent service on Tiger, so Leap uses an application called QuickImage written by Ironic Software that generates all of the thumbnail, magnifying glass and other images for it. It is often running in the background when Leap is running. It will quit when Leap quits, or shortly thereafter.
About thumbnail images.
When you first run Leap, it can take a little while to show all the thumbnail images for all your documents. These generated images are stored for later use, so that the documents that you handle the most will be there instantly when you need to see them.
